I worked with Stu during an important life "pivot"--leaving a longtime employer and wonderful team for a new career adventure. Stu's coaching was instrumental in helping me thoroughly contemplate and embrace this decision! I am so grateful for his thoughtful questions and probes that helped me to consider so many different aspects of the decision, the implications, and how to communicate my decision to my colleagues.

With his coaching, I accomplished more than I wanted in each session, and the session often went in a different, yet very helpful direction than I anticipated. With his nurturing coaching style and insightful, objective guidance, each session left me feeling enlightened, "fired up", and--very importantly for me--confident!

Thank you, Stu! You truly have such a wonderful, calm, caring approach to your coaching.

Here's why I'm committed to making coaching affordable

  • First and foremost: you deserve to live a fulfilled life, and have a career that excites and challenges you. We all do.

  • There are so many problems to solve, and so many wrongs to right. No matter how big or 'small' your role in addressing them, our world needs you to be on your game.

  • I fervently believe that coaching can help you do even better. And when you do better, we all benefit.

If you can't afford my rates, first see if your org is willing to pay anything (if you're employed). â€‹If not, send me a note and let's see if we can work something out.

Practicalities & What to Expect

For those of you who want to know as much as possible before we talk for the first time, here are a few things to know upfront:

  1. Our first meeting is all about getting to know one another, and to talk about your goals for coaching. No cost, no obligation. We both need to feel good about beginning our work together.

  2. If we agree to work together, I'll ask you to sign a coaching agreement -- this document outlines expectations and parameters for our work.

  3. All new clients must commit to a minimum of 6 sessions. Reason: it takes at least this long to get some traction on the change you see.

  4. After that (ie sessions # 7) onward are reduced because:

    • The clients who have worked with me longer have seen deeper transformations. Coaching becomes a way they work on themselves -- not just to address one issue (eg work) but to help them achieve the life they want. This takes time.

    • I worked in fundraising long enough to know that prospecting for new clients is a huge amount of work. I became a coach so I could coach, not manage a leads pipeline.

  5. All of my coaching is done by phone. I believe that voice only allows us to be focused on the content of what we're saying, without worrying about how we look.

  6. You will be responsible for scheduling your appointments through my website. Sessions are 60 minutes.

  7. Payment is always due before the next session starts.

Happy to answer any questions you may have!

Ask your employer (or your donor) to
pay for coaching!

Before you pay out of pocket, I highly encourage you to see if your employer is willing to pay for coaching through professional development funds.

And if they don't cover coaching (yet), I'm happy to talk with you about how to approach that conversation.

One of my dreams would be for coaching to be more prevalent in our sector! (If more people ask, more employers will listen).
